A MOVEMENT

Can you hear it?
The movement has begun.
Ripple crests into wave
Wave powers into land.
Far out to sea
It moves over the expanse
Rolling over calm
Churning silence into psalm.

Can you feel it?
The movement has begun.
An uprising in the soul
Its depths gather in fury
To flood these shallows
Leaving nothing uncovered.
Wreckage in its wake
There is no hiding from its quake.

Can you see it?
The movement has begun
Look to the horizon
Its not far now
Find your high ground.
Quick there is not much time
Hold on tight to anything near
What comes is not to fear.

Stand and listen you who doubt
A movement has begun
Unstoppable it passes
Cutting through ancient river beds
Unshaken by the babble of the skeptics.
Damned neither by their noise nor deed.

It is carried on the backs of holy cripples
A prostitute, an adulterer
The poor, the blind
The least of these.
They, recipients of a royal bloodline
Grafted into a holy tree
Believe like children
Unmarked by doubt.

Holding their torches high
Playing their flutes loud
They journey in darkness
Within the dragons gate.
Unshaken by the relic beasts
Whose power manifests in the land.
They tread along an ancient path
Guided by the divine light.

The time has come.
Rise up you ancient bones!
Rise up!
Unleash your full fury!
Wield your mighty sabors!
Do not fear!
Do not dismay!
The movement has begun!
